The Cales de Mallorca includes 3 coves which have been awarded the European Blue Flag, guarantee of quality: Cala Antena, Es Domingos Gran and Es Domingos Petit. These crystalline beaches have every kind of service available for their visitors, as well as wonderful seabeds which are famous among scuba divers.
In Cales de Mallorca, enthusiasts of historic monuments can visit S’Hospitalet Vell, a prehistorical settlement of the talaiotic period. Also, 10 km from Cales de Mallorca, there are the tourist areas of Porto Cristo and Portocolom, which house two important yacht clubs. And only 8 Km, the 18-hole Vall D’or Golf course is the perfect place for those who wish to play a round whilst enjoying great views of the Mediterranean.
Cales de Mallorca has many important services available all year round, including a local police station, post office and doctor’s surgery. The island is linked to the most important European cities by plane and also to the Spanish peninsula by ferry. The most common arrival points are the Son Sant Joan International Airport, near the capital city, and the ports of Palma de Mallorca and Alcudia.
A motorway is currently under construction, linking Palma and Manacor. However, until the motorway is finished, the 50 Km. trip between the two cities is undertaken via the C-715 road. From here, take the exit to the PMV-4014, head southwards and follow the signs to Cales de Mallorca, where Residencial East Mallorca is located.
